RAIN WINS AGAIN

After a decent summer the rain gods seem to be taking their revenge now, as our match at Workington lasted just two heats with the score at 6-6.

It appeared to be the right decision though there was some discussion about it. The track was already very wet after a pre-meeting shower when the riders went out for heat one, in which Craig's race ended in a shower of sparks at the gate.

Derek led for two laps but Richard Lawson passed him coming out of bend two on lap three, with Rusty Harrison following half a lap later.

Amazingly we levelled the scores in heat 2 with guest Henning Bager leading all the way, closely followed by the remarkable Liam Carr pulling off another excellent ride.

Unfortunately another heavy shower followed and although everyone waited for it to pass, conditions had deteriorated too much.

The restating date is being discussed, and now we look forward to the visit of Ipswich TOMORROW (Tuesday) at Armadale (7:30).
