After a season of ups and downs it’s now time to get down to business as the Parsons Peebles Monarchs take on the Ipswich Witches in the SGB Championship playoffs this week with a place in the grand final and a league title shot on the line.

Although we have our biggest match of the season to come on Friday our 2017 season is now drawing to a close and our big social function of the year is not far away.

League leaders, Sheffield, selected Glasgow as their play-off semi final opponents and that means we'll be racing Ipswich in our semi final.

If you are going to do a job do it well is what I was always told and boy did the Parsons Peebles Monarchs do the job well romping to a 54-38 victory and 4 league points away at Workington on Saturday night.

After our tense and exciting win over the Glasgow Tigers at Armadale last night the Parsons Peebles Monarchs look to finish the job and clinch a playoff berth as we travel to Workington on Saturday evening.

The Parsons Peebles Monarchs took a giant step towards the end of season Playoffs by grabbing a dramatic victory that looked unlikely for much of the night, a 46-43 win over Glasgow Tigers.

The Parsons Peebles Monarchs defeated Glasgow by 46 to 43 at Armadale on Friday night. Ricky Wells got 10. And Richie Worrall got 13 for the visitors.
