The What the Fork Monarchs put in what must be their most dominant away performance in recent memory romping to a 58-32 victory at Shielfield Park on Saturday night against a shell shocked Berwick Bandits.

The What the Fork Monarchs will need to be on guard as the Bandits look for revenge as we take the short trip down the A1 to Shielfield on Saturday night in Championship action.

The What the Fork Monarchs came through in the end to take a 50-40 victory over Berwick in a hard-fought match. It certainly wasn't easy and Monarchs only led by 4 with two heats remaining. Their victory owed a lot to a best-yet dozen from Kye Thomson and another great display by Josh Pickering who has never ridden better than he is at the moment.

One change on either side for tonight's match against Berwick! Jack Smith stands in for Joe Lawlor, who is self-isolating. Rider Replacement will be in use for Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen who has had a reaction to the vaccine.

It might be a fortnight since the Monarchs last turned a wheel in anger, but the "Scunny Weekender" remains fresh in the mind. Perhaps too fresh. It was certainly a story of highs and lows for the capital outfit.
