Third time for Bears visit
Unfortunate circumstances which included a very nasty crash and injury to James Sarjeant last Friday have forced a third attempt to run the second leg of the Championship Playoff between the What the Fork Monarchs and the Redcar Bears in a rare Tuesday night fixture tomorrow.

James Sarjeant update
We have heard this morning from James Sarjeant’s colleague and mechanic, a well-known character known as Enzville, who tells us that James has a dislocated knee, a fracture to his pelvis and a gash on the back of his leg. “James will go into surgery at the Royal Infirmary on Saturday afternoon,” he told us. “His bike is totally wrecked, parts of it pointing this way and that. I hadn’t realised James had clipped Sam’s wheel, Sam told me that. Richie Worrall was up quickly to help James and that lad Pickering, he was just great, we thank them.”

Match not run, rescheduled for Tuesday
Having dodged the worst of the weather and with the Armadale track in good racing condition, our Playoff quarter final was eventually abandoned following a first bend crash in heat 1 in which James Sarjeant appears to have suffered a dislocated knee.

Sadly tonight's Play Off Quarter Final against Redcar was abandoned without a score after James Sarjeant took a heavy tumble in heat 1 leaving no medical cover available. The tie will provisionally take place on Tuesday, 12th October, from 7:30pm.
