After a disappointing defeat at Redcar the Scotwaste monarchs will have to pep up their performance if they are to defeat high-flying King's Lynn at Armadale.

Just three race winners at the newest PL track was a disappointment, and with the score at 5-19 after 4 races it seemed at one stage that we were in for a heavier defeat.

For once Derek Sneddon didn't have the magic touch at reserve, but as many remarked at the track, we should not be relying so much on our no. 7 anyway, superb though he has been most of the time.

Our top man was Henrik Moller with five second places and some good rides. Rusty won heat 9 from the back, Theo recovered from a desperate start and won heat 11, while Matthew as ever battled hard and was the first to win a race in heat 7.

Both Derek (heat 2) and Matthew (heat 12) took knocks but seem to be OK.

Overall, a poor display and in the absence of William we need a bit more from everyone.
