Edinburgh Monarchs
The Scotwaste Monarchs beat Sheffield 52-44 in an entertaining Armadale meeting.
We would have to do very well to clinch the aggregate bonus with just an 8-point advantage, but the consolations included a fine return by William Lawson and several excellent heats.
Kyle Legault was involved in two of the best heats, a thrilling heat 3 win over William Lawson and a fine Rusty Harrison overtake on the Canadian in heat 7.
Both Legault and top scorer Andre Compton scored 6 in their Tactical Rides which helped Sheffield to keep the scores close.
There were no after-effects for Lawson who soared into double figures and went out for a practise session after the match.
Now it's on to Newport for the important cup tie on Tuesday.
