It was a fun night at Armadale and an enjoyable one as the Bravehearts beat the Kangaroos by 47-46.

It might not be a result to make the Speedway world sit up, especially as the teams finished up as something of a mixture, but there were plenty of notable discussion points.

Firstly, Kalle Katajisto had his best home meeting to date, looking lively in all his rides and winning heat 14 from the gate!

He was riding as a Kangaroo by the way.

Kevin Doolan gave a great display and won all the 5 heats he started from the gate, plus two points from a

TS ride.

Shane Parker recovered from a bad first ride to back him up and it took a solid showing by the home men (Scots, a Finn, a Czech and an English man) to edge the Bravehearts home.

There was some great riding from Andrew Tully, who came closest to beating Doolan, plus decent showings from Derek Sneddon, Kaj Laukkanen and George Stancl.

The musical contest was a draw, though everyone seemed better at playing the bagpipes than the didgeridoo.
