Andrew Tully won seven of Friday's 15 heats at Armadale to become the first Monarchs' rider ever to score a full 21 point maximum.

He inspired another whopping home victory, this time by 67-23, and to be honest if the astonishing Tully had ridden in all the heats he would surely have scored 45.

His speed and control were incredible. The highlight was probably the rerun heat 11 when he was approximately third round the first corner, but drove straight past the opposition as if they were standing still.

Previous instances of paid 7-ride maximums for the club have been George Hunter (v Glasgow, 1968, 20+1), Lawrence Hare (v Sheffield, 1994, 17+4) and Barry Campbell (v Newport, 1998, 17+4).

The rest of the team were not slacking either. Ryan Fisher dropped points only in heat 1 when he tok a couple of laps to get into second and couldn't peg back Jason Bunyan.

Matthew Wethers was unbeaten till his final heat when again it was Bunyan who prevented the full score, and Topinka also only dropped points in that opening heat.

The Islanders never stopped trying, and James Holder performed well for his first Armadale appearance, but they were simply swamped by a team who are talented and confident to a huge extent.
