The Scotwaste Monarchs will be marking the fact that 2010 is Michal Makovsky's Testimonial year by donating the Meeting Sponsorship of the match against Berwick on Friday to his Testmonial Committee, and will also make a presentation to Michal himself.

That will be the second presentation the 10-year Bandit has had this week because on Monday his partner Jitka presented him with twin girls, Ellie and Stephanie, just one day before his 34th birthday!

The Makovsky committee will have four representatives in the George Hunter Memorial Lounge on Friday when the Bandits visit Armadale, and Monarchs' programme cover will carry the Testimonial logo.

Tickets for Hospitality on the night are ?25 per head, lower than usual, and for this supporters get free admission, buffet and a free bar for the evening. Bookings can be made by emailing marketing@edinburghspeedway.com, or by calling Allan McDade on 07794-105244

It is hoped that at the end of the on-track action Michal Makovsky will join the party.

He has been a redoubtable competitor for our local rivals since 2001, even if his Armadale record is not as good as he would like.

There has also been an arrangement made between the Edinburgh and Berwick promotions whereby season ticket holders will be admitted for ?2 less than normal prices at each other's track ? Berwick fans at Armadale on Friday and Monarchs' fans at Shielfield on Saturday.
