Scotwaste Monarchs have made a team change ahead of this weekend's important fixtures and are pleased to announce that they have signed 22 year old German, Tobias Busch. Tobias hails from the north east of Germany and has spent much of his career racing with Kevin W?lbert. He takes the place of Hungarian Jozsef Tabaka.

Commenting on the change, Scotwaste Monarchs Chairman Alex Harkess said, ?It had been an increasing concern to us that Jozsef Tabaka was about to drop to fifth in our averages and was greatly struggling to score points away from home. He was also due to miss some matches for us due to Hungarian Championship and education issues. We decided to take the chance to make a change when we still had the opportunity and I am pleased that we were able to agree a deal with Tobias very quickly, in just over twenty hours in fact, to join. We have since discovered than even before our approach Tobias had asked his German colleagues to sound out the possibilities of gaining a UK berth.?

Tobias comes into the team on a seven point average and will line up at number 2 in the team. His only other commitment is for his German team Stralsund although he does have a World Championship qualifier coming up in Russia next weekend.

Unsurprisingly Jozsef Tabaka was disappointed after being given the news after the match at Scunthorpe on Monday. Said Co-Promoter John Campbell, ?It is never easy to tell any rider that he has ridden his last race for the Club at the present time, especially when that rider has gone through the most difficult part of his British career but I have told Jozsef that we see him as a long term prospect for the Club and expect him to return to race for us in the future. He has commitments in Hungary at the moment but we will offer him the chance to race for another club in Britain this season.?
