  Edinburgh Monarchs

Monarchs fans everywhere, it's not long now. I'm counting down the hours until Friday when once again we'll hear the roar of the bikes at our track.

Lots of work has been going on over the winter and I'm sure you’ll be delighted when you see for yourself. We've got a cracking team this year and I think they are going to make you proud to be a Monarchs fan. The guys get along really great with one another and this can only help to produce results on the track. While I’m talking about the boys, I know they appreciate your support from the terraces. I can tell you that they love to hear your cheers and shouts so don’t disappoint them and give them as much encouragement as you can. Believe me, it does help! I promise you they can hear you out on the track and when they can they’ll wave back.

Oh, I haven’t told you about me yet! I'm Uncle ‘B’ and I'm going to be at the gate as you come in and over the weeks I hope to chat with you and hear what you've got to say. I can guarantee that all your comments, whether good or bad will be noted and any thoughts, suggestions or ideas will be passed on! I can assure you of that. So don’t be shy! I’ll also be walking about during the meeting (to be honest I need the exercise!!) so if I miss you at the gate then I’ll catch you out and about.

So on to Friday. We've got the Tigers from the west who are always great value for entertainment. I hope lots of their fans come through to support them. They are always welcome. Let’s just hope they go home with their tails between their legs!

By the way, make sure you’re early on Friday evening. The gates open at 6.30 and there will be a big crowd and while stocks last there is going to be a giveaway of Easter Eggs for the kids! Yes, I know Easter was last weekend but kids can eat chocolate any time can’t they!

So, remember to say 'hi' on your way in. I'm so looking forward to meeting you. It just wouldn't be the same without you!
