Leicester Lions will arrive at Armadale on Friday night looking to bounce back from a disappointing display at Sheffield on Thursday night where they went down to defeat by 51 to 39 and they were eliminated from the League Cup as Sheffield became the first qualifiers for the semi finals.

The lions kept the scores close throughout most of the match by sharing many heats but a lack of heat winners, only three on the night, was their ultimate downfall. Their top scorer was Lasse Bjerre who scored 9 and 2 bonus from his five rides.

And so they move on up the road to the Scotwaste Arena for Knock Out Cup action with their aim being to keep the scores as close as possible for the second leg coming up at Leicester on Saturday.

Two of the Scotwaste Monarchs have been in Denmark this week. Claus Vissing returned last Saturday morning and hoped to practice on Sunday and Wednesday. Max Fricke has also taken advantage of the quiet week and also went to undertake extensive practice with the emphasis on gating.

The Scotwaste Monarchs will be hoping to build up a double figure lead to take to Beaumont Leys on Saturday and advance ticket sales would suggest that another big crowd will be present at the Scotwaste Arena on Friday evening.

It will be possible to purchase hospitality packages tomorrow night for the British Semi Final next Friday. Demand has already been high for both heat and rider sponsorships so all interested are advised to make a booking before the start of Friday night’s match.
