Sheffield Tigers arrive at Armadale on Friday evening having recorded their biggest win of the season over Glasgow at home on Thursday evening. They made light of their injury and retiral ravaged side and swept aside their Scottish namesakes.

At Armadale they will be further strengthened with the inclusion of Andrew Tully as their guest at number one for Simon Stead. Equally they will expect more from guest reserve Robert Branford, a non-scorer on Thursday evening, after his fine performance at Armadale earlier in the season.

The Scotwaste Monarchs will be hoping to secure a big win to increase their points difference tally. This could be important as teams in the top six continue to drop points at home. It was the turn of Redcar on Thursday evening as they managed only a five point home win over Scunthorpe. That win has lifted the Bears to the top of the Premier League but a win by more than six points on Friday evening for the Monarchs will take them into second place.

We will have an interval after heat 12 on Friday evening so that the riders can come amongst the crowd to uplift the annual Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund Collection.

Elsewhere on Thursday Claus Vissing was guesting for Birmingham at Swindon but failed to score for the Brummies in a big home win for the Robins. Claus also rode in Denmark on Wednesday evening and helped Munkebo to a win over Holstebro. Claus scored 8 and three bonus from his six races.

Another Scotwaste Monarchs asset is about to return to British Speedway. Plymouth made an approach earlier in the week to speak to Kalle Katajisto and they have quickly struck a deal with him and he will join the Devils on loan for their match at Scunthorpe on 16th August.
