With the weather set fair for Friday evening's meeting at Armadale it looks like it will be a bumper crowd to witness the visit of Workington.

Sales of advance tickets for the event already far exceed those of last week and are fast approaching the level of our opening night. It seems that the Comets have really caught the imagination and they also have a coach load of supporters coming to the meeting.

Some of Friday's riders were in action on Thursday evening. Craig Cook was making his seasonal debut for Belle Vue in their match at Swindon. He retired from his first two races before finishing with 3 points from his last two races. A disappointing night for Craig and the Aces as they lost by 57 to 36.

On the other side of the pits it was a much better night for Stevie Worrall scoring 9 plus 2 bonus from five races including two heat wins.

Richie Worrall was racing for Belle Vue in that match so his place in his Premier League team at Ipswich was taken by Workington's American Ricky Wells. He top scored for the Witches in their 50 to 41 win with 11 + 1 from five races. Kalle Katajisto top scored for the Devils again with 14 points from six races.

Following Wednesday's article requesting help in our search for advertising and sponsorship we have received an encouraging response but we will be happy to speak to anyone at the stadium on Friday who would like to be involved.
