  Edinburgh Monarchs

We had two Scotwaste Monarchs in action on Wednesday in two different countries but first a look back at action last week.

We reported last week that Jozsef Tabaka made his racing comeback in Hungary last Thursday but subsequent news from Jozsef suggests that it was not a good return.

He rode at his home track of Debrecen on May Day in a Pairs competition and although he rode in all of his qualifying races he did not take his place in his final race and has since confirmed that he was not fit enough to do so and would now rest for a few more weeks before trying to resume his racing. As you can imagine he was hugely disappointed and the decision not to include him in our team for the start of this season has proved entirely correct. We look forward to better news in the weeks ahead.

Two Scotwaste Monarchs were in action on Wednesday evening. Craig Cook was an early arrival at Poole have travelled there on Tuesday afternoon. However, it wasn't a good night for Craig or Belle Vue. He managed just 5 and a bonus from his five races as the Aces crashed to defeat by 53 to 40.

Over in Denmark Max Fricke made his debut in the Super League for Region Varde Elitesport(Outrup)in their away match at Munkebo. They race 14 heats with five man teams and Max scored 8 + 1 from his six outings. His team lost by 46 to 38. It's a strong league and Hans Andersen, Kenni Larsen, Morten Riasger, Mads Korneliussen and Nicklas Porsing were all involved in the meeting.
