After initial fears that a dreadful weather forecast would cause the early postponement of our visit to Plymouth on Saturday evening, a much better forecast on Saturday morning suggests that the match will go ahead.

Plymouth have strengthened their team in time for our visit bringing in Adam Roynon in place of Ben Reade. A consequence of that move is that Kyle Newman drops to reserve and he has declared himself fit to ride tonight. They are also missing Roland Benko who suffered a shoulder injury in a World Under 21 qualifier last weekend and his place is taken by Ben Morley.

With Max Fricke away on World Under 21 duty at Leicester the Scotwaste Monarchs will use rider replacement at number 2 and all riders with exception of Craig Cook are eligible for a ride.

Max Fricke prepared for his qualifier by suffering a rained off meeting on Friday night in Denmark. He will need to be at his best to secure one of the four qualifying places for the Final that is being contested over three legs.

One man who was racing last night was Stevie Worrall. He top scored with 12 + 1 for his Elite League team Swindon in their win at Coventry. He also set the fastest time of the season at Brandon.
