THE LAST SHOWER KILLED IT

We suffered a very frustrating rain-off tonight against Redcar at Armadale, on a day when the weather wasn't as bad as the forecast had suggested it would be.

Well after six o' clock the match was still likely to be on, even though there had been some heavy showers.

Referee Craig Ackroyd was on his way when the last short but heavy shower arrived, and though even then there were differing opinions about whether the match could have been raced, Mr Ackroyd's view was that the track had been damaged too much.

We would of course far rather that the weather was either (a) So bad we can call off early, or (b) Good, but unfortunately it rarely plays ball on days like these.

After the call-off the weather was excellent. The next meeting at Armadale is on Friday 18th July against Workington, two weeks tonight.
