Just when the weather men told us that rain would be gone for the day a torrential downpour caused the postponement of Friday night's match against Newcastle.

It had been a dry day at Armadale with only an early afternoon shower. We had another sharp shower at quarter to six and that seemed to be it. But just as we opened the stadium gates light rain started to fall. The riders were keen to get on with it and were changed and in the pits at seven. The Jain just kept falling and although it was agreed to delay a decision to quarter to eight heavy rain started to fall and the call off decision was made slightly earlier. As soon as that happened the heavens opened and torrential rain hit the stadium.

Readmission tickets are valid for the restaging or any match at Armadale this season.
