The Scotwaste Monarchs are delighted to announce that not only will Craig Cook be contesting the Premier league Riders Championship at Sheffield on Sunday 21st September, he will be joined by teammate Stevie Worrall.

Craig has qualified for the Championship as the highest averaged rider with 9.63 and Stevie has the best average of the second placed riders with 8.07 but that is better than the average of the Berwick, Glasgow, Ipswich and Scunthorpe representatives.

Stevie will line up at number one and will be out in the first race and Craig is number six and out for the first time in heat two.

It is an amazing achievement from Stevie raising his starting average of 3.00, although in reality it was far below that, to over 8. Since moving from reserve he had maintained his excellent scoring.

Craig is a regular in the Championship having won it in 2012. There was a lot of pressure on him last year to successfully defend the title and although he came close he didn't quite manage it.

Defending champion Oliver Allen is back in the field representing Somerset this time and local man, Simon Stead, a visitor to Armadale on Friday, will start as one of the favourites.
