Edinburgh Monarchs
We are now in a position to confirm details of what will be a busy run in to the play off deadline with the September holiday weekend going to be a busy time.
The match against Sheffield at Armadale will go ahead as planned tomorrow and the Scotwaste Monarchs will then be on the road to Rye House on Saturday. Next Friday will see a double header at Armadale but that will feature a different line up from previously planned. Redcar will continue to be the first opposition but they will be followed by Glasgow.
Now just twenty four hours later there will be another match at Armadale with Newcastle providing the opposition. The change has been required as Glasgow are not available to come to Armadale on the Saturday as Theo Pijper is in France for a World Long Track event and Tero Aarnio is in Finland for a league match.
Commented Chairman Alex Harkess, "First of all I am grateful to the management at Glasgow, Newcastle and Armadale Stadium for readily agreeing to these changes. We want to finish top of the league at the cut-off deadline for the play-offs and this gives us a chance to do that. Having four matches in three days is not a perfect scenario but the weather has forced it on us."
Admission details for the weekend of speedway are as follows:
Tickets can booked now on our ticketing website here. Both meetings will commence at 7.00pm.
