Max Clegg put on a super show at the British Under 21 Championship at Coventry on Tuesday night before crashing out of the semi final.

He scored 12 in his qualifying races with three impressive wins plus a defeat in heat 5 to Elite league riders Robert Lambert and Kyle Howarth before losing out to Ashley Morris in his last race. That score took him to the semi final where he was joined by Ashley Morris, Stefan Nielsen and James Shanes.

Max had gate 4 in the semi final with Shanes on gate 1, Morris on 2 and Nielsen. Unfortunately he didn't make a good start in the semi final and in an attempt to get to the front clipped Stefan Nielsen's back wheel and tumbled to the deck. The race was stopped

Direct qualifiers to the final were the unbeaten Robert Lambert and Kyle Howarth, only beaten by Lambert in the qualifiers. In the rerun final Kyle Howarth produced a great ride to pass Lambert and secure the Championship.
