It's never nice to have a rained off meeting and we were very lucky on Friday that the heavy rain didn't start falling until long after the end of the meeting. One of the greatest trips in British Speedway(we're slightly further away) Plymouth to Glasgow ended up in a call off shortly before start time on Sunday afternoon.

For Sam Masters the distance was a bit greater. Sam travelled to Poland on Sunday to make his debut for Lublin in their home Polish League division 2 match against Pila. Sam was due to ride at number one but the rain started to fall about three hours before start time and the match was called off ninety minutes later. Sam should be available for the restaging on 21st June.

One Border Roofing Monarch who did manage some action on Sunday was Rob Branford who was racing in the National League for Rye House at Eastbourne. It was a great afternoon for him losing only once to Eagle sensational Kiwi Bradley Wilson-Dean to score 17. He did defeat BWD twice during the match.

On Saturday Kevin Wolbert top scored for Germany in the European Best Pairs, Justin Sedgmen got 10 gusting for Workington and Rob Branford 1 guesting for Ipswich at Berwick.

We've got Ipswich as our guests on Friday and with no sponsor for the meeting we are again offering discounted VIP hospitality packages. £25 for the alcohol package and £20 for the non alcohol package. You can book through the Buy Tickets section of this website
