Our banners displayed during our 500th meeting at Armadale have drawn much favourable comment, and we were very pleased to welcome several of our former stars to the track on the evening. Apart from anything else their interviews helped fill in the gap while the Plymouth team arrived!

The banners depicted some of the main events during the Armadale era, and also the riders who have been in our 1-7 since 1997 – 84 of them. Now that we have signatures on quite a few of the portraits, we might as well set out to have as many as we can get sign their photos!

Amongst those present on Friday were Kenny McKinna, Kevin Little, James Grieves, Matthew Wethers, George Stancl, David McAllan, Paul Gould, Barry Campbell, Blair Scott, Neil Hewitt, Ben Shields, Sean Stoddart, Theo Pijper and Ryan Fisher, as well as some of the current Monarchs.

There will be some tricky ones such as Jan Andersen (in New Zealand), plus Australians, a South African and Europeans, but we will give it a try. Any riders reading this, please come to Armadale and sign!
