Edinburgh Speedway have agreed with their American star Ryan Fisher that he may stage his Testimonial at Armadale on Friday 3rd June. It will be third time lucky for Fisher.

Ryan has been in British Speedway since 2002, having first ridden for Coventry (still his parent club) in that season. He had originally intended to stage his Testimonial at Coventry’s Brandon Stadium in 2014, but it was a troubled year with visa problems for his family plus a shoulder injury which caused him to miss much of the season.

He tried again the following season when he was riding at Plymouth, but it didn’t prove possible to find a suitable date for the event.

This year he returns to Armadale, having already won two Premier League titles as a Monarch in 2008 and 2010, with over 900 league points for us in his three years. How could we not put things right by letting Ryan have his big day this season?

By the time the meeting is staged, his family will be over – wife Daelyn, and children Abby Jo and Harley, and nothing makes “The Fish” happier than to have his family with him.
