Sam Masters jetted back into the UK on Thursday arriving in Edinburgh early in the morning. His return is well before the start of our season but he'll be a busy man before arriving at Armadale for our pre season practice on 25th March.

No sooner has he landed in Scotland than he'll be away again. His Polish club, Wanda Krakow, have their team introductions at the Culture Centre in Krakow at five o'clock on Saturday and Sam will be introduced to his Polish fans along with some of his teammates who include Chris Harris, Patrick Hougaard and Josh Grajczonek.

Krakow race in the eleven team Polish Speedway League. Well it's almost an eleven team league. Rawicz and Opole will only race away matches against each other and home matches against every other team. They've already conceded 40 - 0 defeats to the rest.

Sam is also racing in Denmark for Region Varde. Max Fricke is a team mate there but with some matches taking place on a Friday in Denmark there may not be too many opportunities for him there.

Of course Sam's bread and butter speedway will be in the UK where he will race the majority of his 2016 meetings. He'll captain the Border Roofing Monarchs and line up at number one and will be a vital part of the Wolverhampton team in the Elite League.

Commenting after touch down on Thursday, Sam Said, "It's a big year for me and I'm looking to progress once again. I'm not phased by riding number one for the Monarchs and I hope, as captain, I can lead the boys to some success again. It's going to be a great year."
