Bad Weather Beats Us

MATCHDAY LATEST Friday 1st April 2016, 3:36pm

The sad news from Armadale is that bad weather and an even worse forecast has forced us to all off tonight’s opening meeting, the Inter-League challenge against Belle Vue.

It’s such a shame after all the hard work which goes in to preparing for opening night, and the anticipation of seeing the Belle Vue stars and whether our men can take some points off them. It is our intention to try to re-arrange this attraction for later in the season.

The forecast has been bad all week (and sometimes it does seem that Friday nights are targeted after reasonable weather early in the week), and it has never relented. Now we look forward to our opening fixture against Berwick in the League Cup next Friday.

Before then of course the team head for Glasgow on Sunday in a League Cup match, a tough fixture made all the harder by the fact that we haven’t ridden as a team. However with a good support to back us we are confident that we can give a good account of ourselves. In a short League Cup qualifying campaign, every result is vital.

Apologies to all our fans for tonight’s bad news, none more so than Sheila Webber who was to have celebrated her 90th birthday in Hospitality.
