Davey Watt was the winner of the first round of the Australian Championship at Gillman on Wednesday.

Sam Masters scored 10 points in the qualifiers but made a poor start in the semi final and was eliminated at that stage.

Josh Pickering was not disgraced scoring 5 points equal with reigning champion Brady Kurtz and his brother Todd.
