EMTV+: Peter Carr returns to Armadale

We have just added the 2005 season to the historic video section of EMTV+ so my choice for our recommended match of the week comes early in that season – 22nd April against Stoke Potters in the Premier Trophy.

Stoke were not always good Armadale visitors but on this occasion they had two of the greatest ever track specialists in their lineup. After his 8 superlative seasons as a Monarch Peter Carr was in his last season of racing at Stoke, not quite the force of old but still showing flashes of brilliance. And with a guest required, who else would they turn to but James Grieves.

These two plus a rejuvenated Robbie Kessler made sure there was plenty good racing against a Monarchs' team for which Theo Pijper and Daniel Nermark were outstanding.
