We are very pleased to present the 2002 season to our EMTV+ subscribers, a season which was the prelude to our first title-winning season. Our team included Carr, Schott, Schlein and Pijper and in the latter part of the season, Magnus Karlsson.
The 2002 season included some of the best racing seen around the Armadale circuit, bringing even more value to EMTV+.
We'd love you to watch it all, but just to get you started with a couple of recommendations: If you have a bit of time to spend on it, why not have a look at Jan Andersen's Farewell Hoedown? Jan had been injured at the end of the previous season and on 19th April 2002 a fine lineup of riders gathered to help with his Farewell event.
The field included Grand Prix riders Chris Louis and Bjarne Pedersen as well as 2000 World Champion Mark Loram, along with some of the cream from the Premier League. There were well over 20 heats with old-timers and reserves getting a spin. There was some great racing that night.
If you'd prefer a team match, you might like to try the final match of the season, a Scottish Cup against Glasgow. 8 of the 15 heats in this match made it on to the season's Highlights video. We'd already had a draw and a loss against Glasgow earlier in the season. Tigers had Stancl, Grieves and Powell in their team, Magnus Karlsson was with Monarchs by then but Peter Carr was missing from this one with David Howe guesting.
