Excellent Action from Season 1995 now available on EMTV+

Another fantastic season of racing is now available on EMTV+ - Monarchs very own on demand video platform! Watch the home action from the terrific 1995 season which joins hundreds of hours from the Monarchs' archive on the platform.

Many fans from the Powderhall days would regard 1995 as probably the most thrilling season they saw at the city centre venue. It was the first season for many years in which the teams from the top two leagues of British Speedway joined together, which meant world-class stars were visiting Edinburgh on a regular basis.

Monarchs held their own though, with a more solid side featuring American Mike Faria, back in the UK after several years away. We had Swedish newcomer Robert Eriksson who joined mid-season, as well as our stars from the second division era Kenny McKinna, Les Collins, Jan Andersen, Lawrence Hare and Scott Lamb.

Probably the best match of the season was the visit of Belle Vue starring two great riders very familiar to Monarchs' fans in Frede Schott and Peter Carr, plus Jason Lyons, Niklas Klingberg and Chris Manchester. (Actually Peter didn't make it for this match but was programmed.

Plenty of action typical of what we saw against the big name teams throughout the season.
