Bumper Crowd Hails Opening Night Success

The biggest opening night crowd in the modern era cheered Stellar Monarchs to a terrific victory over Glasgow Tigers last night at Armadale Stadium.

Armadale Stadium threw open its doors to welcome back speedway for another great season as the Stellar Monarchs returned to track.

There was a sense of great anticipation in the air as both Monarchs and Glasgow Tigers fans combined to back their sides in a terrific atmosphere.

Stellar Monarchs Co-Promoter John Campbell said, "I wish to thank everyone who attended last night and created such a wonderful atmosphere.

"It was excellent to be back at Armadale Stadium and to welcome such a large crowd for opening night. We'll be working hard to keep growing the crowd throughout the season to welcome more people along to enjoy our great sport.

"On track it was a good start to take the win and we now look forward to Sunday at Peugeot Ashfield Stadium. I would encourage as many Monarchs supporters as possible to get along and make plenty of noise for the team."

Stellar Monarchs take on Glasgow Tigers at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium this Sunday 9th April from 5pm.

The next action at Armadale Stadium sees Stellar Monarchs Academy get their season underway against Belle Vue Colts next Friday 14th April from 7:30pm.
