Stellar Monarchs captain and number 1 Josh Pickering is in positive mood having finally received the full prognosis for his shoulder injury.
Josh Pickering crashed out in an untidy heat 1 first bend clash in Stellar Monarchs recent away match at Berwick Bandits. Josh damaged his left arm in the crash and has faced an uncomfortable fortnight since.
Josh said, "Since the crash I haven't had any strength in my left arm. I haven't been able to lift it above my head."
Having undergone various scans since the crash, Josh now knows more, "I'm happy that I now have the correct diagnosis. I have a crack in my shoulder blade which is no worries but the tendons around the shoulder are swollen.
"It's similar to what I had back in 2019 except the tendons aren't torn this time. I am going for magneto treatment to get the blood circulating around the injured shoulder and I'm aiming to be back racing within the next two weeks or so."
Stellar Monarchs are buoyed by the possible quick return of their missing captain as the team look to kickstart their Cab Direct Championship next Friday at Armadale Stadium against Redcar Bears, with the hope that Josh will be back in the fold soon after.
