  Edinburgh Monarchs

The Stellar Monarchs face another tough task on Wednesday evening as they head to current league leaders Oxford in Championship action.

The Cheetahs have had a fantastic start to the season and currently sit seven points clear at the top of the table with just over half their league campaign gone.

Both teams come into this one undermanned with rider replacement in operation on either side.

For the Monarchs Paco Castagna continues to work his way back from a shoulder injury, Kye Thomson, Bastian Borke and the reserves able to step in to fill the void. Albeit in a slightly different position of number four in the team after a slight reshuffle that moves Borke to number two.

The home men suffered the big blow of seeing Lewi Kerr crash out on Eurosport on Monday evening a broken collarbone the diagnosis. Kerr's rides can be covered by all the Cheetahs except number one Sam Masters so we are likely to face extra rides from Scott Nicholls, Henry Atkins Jordan Jenkins and Cameron Heeps.

Oxford were victors when the sides faced off earlier in the season in the KO Cup running out to a 54-36 win so better will be hoped for from the Monarchs especially with Oxford still to visit Armadale in the league so as many points as possible are required with the bonus point in mind as well.

The action is due to start at 7.30pm with live updates available on the Stellar Monarchs official website.
