Update from Peter Hill himself

All day we have been mulling over the best way to bring the many, many concerned supporters around the speedway world the latest update on our injured photographer Peter Hill. But there could be no better way of doing it than quoting Peter's own Facebook post!

And instead of using one of Peter's photos of speedway action as we often do, we bring you a right-up-to-date photo of Peter himself! He's giving the thumbs up though it doesn't quite fit the website window.

Peter has posted "Hello all. Thought I'd provide a quick update.

"First of all a massive THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to message and call. I truly felt the love of the Speedway Family and am blessed to be part of it.

"I have just come out surgery to close two wounds on my head. All went well. I do have small breaks to my C2 and C3 vertebra and will be in a neck bracelet for about 12 weeks but again everything will be fine."

Check out the Facebook thread and you will see how many people are thrilled to hear the Peter will be OK. When we passed the news to Craig Cook he was delighted and said "Wow that's unbelievable!"

We look forward to seeing Peter at Armadale whenever that is possible.
