Speedway is under threat at a number of venues and the support of fans around the country could help in the fight to retain tracks. We have been specifically requested by our friends at Peterborough to give all interested parties details on how to assist their fight. Of course we would also urge our fans to give similar support to other clubs in the same position, eg Wolverhampton.

Steve and Sarah Miles, Panthers' programme editors, are regular visitors to Armadale and Sarah sent us this message:

"Hey Monarchs fans, first congrats on getting through to the play-offs. I know some of you know me and Steve well and know that we will always do what we can to support your great club. I'm now asking for you to do the same for our club, the Peterborough Panthers.

"Below I have posted a link to the fact file the Peterborough Evening Telegraph put together based on the development proposals by AEPG.

"Attached is a picture of a leaflet I was handing out at tonight's double header that shows step by step instructions on how you can object to the plans that will see an end to our home for the last 50 years.

"Included is how you can view all comments made so even though you may not know the area you can get some inspiration from others.

"The key thing to include is that the current proposal fails to meet the Council's own local plan policies L30 and L36 (both of which can be seen on the councils website). We currently have over 500 comments with only 1 of a positive nature and we need all our friends at the Monarchs to join us in this fight.

"Deadline for objections is 25th September. Please share this with friends, families, neighbour and even complete strangers!!!"
