Joe the winner, points for our men

Today's staging of the National League Riders Development Series event at Leicester finished in a victory, perhaps predictably, for Joe Thompson who scored a 15 point maximum. Joe is number one in the Leicester Cubs NDL team.

He was chased home by William Cairns (13) who defeated Vinnie Foord in a run-off. These two are raising eyebrows everywhere they go at the moment. Winner of the Poole round Sam Hagon scored 11 but was excluded from one heat.

The guys with Monarch connections finished Connor Coles 9, Max Perry 9, Max James 8. Each recorded one heat victory. Connor fell when leading his first race in heat 3, which was duly won by Max Perry. Connor passed Danny Phillips to win heat 14, and Max James took the chequered flag in heat 18, passing former team mate Tom Spencer.
