The biggest match of the season at Armadale is generally the visit of Glasgow Tigers, currently the League title holders, in the Championship match. That's what's happening this Friday with the Allied Vehicles Tigers needing points to make the Playoffs and the Stellar Monarchs just wanting to lift themselves up the league table!

Both have missing heat leaders now that Justin Sedgmen has been forced to rule out a return after a midweek fitness test. He will be replaced for the night by former Monarchs' captain Erik Riss who guests at no. 5. Erik is currently racing for Oxford Spires.

The opposing no. 5 guesting for Steve Worrall will be Anders Rowe, currently riding for King's Lynn in the Premiership and also a former Monarch! Tigers also use Matt Marson at number 7 for the injured Jason Garrad.

Other than that everyone is fit and looking forward to what is sure to be a very hard-fought encounter. Team manager Alex Harkess believes his team is ready for the test. "We've beaten Glasgow quite well at Armadale already this year, and we know what more or less all of their riders are capable of. They will bring a new rider who has never seen Armadale before, that will be interesting. Who knows what can happen with that one. We are happy to have Erik Riss in the side, he knows what these matches are all about."

The return match between the teams at Ashfield, postponed last Friday, has been rescheduled for next Wednesday 14th August.

STELLAR MONARCHS: Josh Pickering, Kye Thomson, Lasse Fredriksen, Paco Castagna (Capt.), Erik Riss (Guest), Max James, Connor Coles.

ALLIED VEHICLES TIGERS: Chris Harris (Capt.), Jack Smith, Leon Flint, Matic Ivacic, Anders Rowe (Guest), James Pearson, Matt Marson (Guest).

Following the Championship match there will be a Northern Junior League match between the Armadale Angels and the Ashfield Giants.
