"Not real good." Is how Justin Sedgmen describes his health on the day after his horror crash in heat 11 of Friday night's BSN Series semi final clash with Scunthorpe.

After piling into the backstraight safety fence, Sedgy was eventually able to get to his feet and walk off the track. Thereafter, he was taken by ambulance to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to be checked over and for x-rays.

The x-rays confirmed broken bones in his right hand and a broken left scaphoid. He also has some bad cuts on his right hand and his shoulder and ribs are not the best.

Justin will also get his collar bone checked again as he feels that it isn't quite right. Sedgy joked, "I won't need to worry about cutting some fingernails for a while as they're gone. I didn't hurt my knee any further and it feels fine."

Unfortunately, these are season ending injuries for Sedgy which concludes a fine return to the blue and gold this year.

Justin is grateful for all the good wishes he has received and particularly wishes to thank his mechanic, Cammy Fraser, who was with him throughout his hospital stay and then drove him back to his Glasgow home when he was released at 4.30 on Saturday morning.
