Stellar Monarchs are looking forward to a massive Scottish derby clash against Glasgow Tigers this Friday at Armadale Stadium in what is a must win match for the team.

Every home match is viewed as must win though it has not always panned out that way this season, however Friday brings the added imperative of being a Scottish derby and also a win would ensure the Monarchs do not claim the wooden spoon this season.

Stellar Monarchs Co-Promoter John Campbell said, "This season results have often been close but not close enough to push us further up the league table.

"Friday brings our final opportunity to clinch the win required to lift us from the foot of the table. There is no question about it - Friday is a must win fixture.

"We have the team to achieve this but it won't be easy as no match against Glasgow ever is. The Tigers still have an outside shot of making the Cab Direct Championship Play Offs but to do so they equally must win on Friday.

"It is shaping up to be a massive match and I hope all of our supporters will come out to see what will no doubt be a night of drama and hopefully the right result at the end of it."

Stellar Monarchs have secured the services of Dan Thompson and Joe Thompson to cover for the injured Justin Sedgmen and Kye Thomson. Glasgow will use Ben Barker in place of Leon Flint who is on international duty and Max Perry in place of injured Jason Garrad.
