William Cairns, Cooper Rushen and Oliver Bovingdon were crowned British Youth Champions of their respective classes at Armadale on Saturday with Rushen and Bovingdon also the cream of the crop on the day as well.

After strong performances in the National Development League on Friday night many would have expected Cairns to be the one to beat in the 500cc class with Jamie Etherington not far behind, but it was William Hocaniuk who came out on top of that one Cairns hopes stifled by a fall in his first heat.

Rushen had no such problems as he raced to four wins out of four in the 250cc class with Archie Rolph taking second ahead of Ollie Binns.

Ollie Bovingdon couldn't quite repeat this trick but he took the win with 11 points ahead of Monarchs Academy prospects Lewis Hague and Rocco Webb in the 125cc class.

While in the 125cc support it was Charlie Fletcher who took the win, Tia May Brant in second and Adam Sidyk in third meaning the overall winner for this will be decided in the final round at Ashfield on Sunday.

Overall as it always is with the best of Britain's youth in town it was an enjoyable day with a total of 30 races all completed in good nature and in good speed.

As mentioned, the series now moves on to Ashfield on Sunday where it concludes for the year.
