Stadium spring clean starts Saturday

A spring clean of Armadale Stadium will begin this Saturday as preparations step up ahead of the new season.

Working parties will start this Saturday 1st March at Armadale Stadium and continue every Saturday throughout the month to prepare for the upcoming season. Work will get underway at 9am each Saturday and will continue into the early afternoon.

Stellar Monarchs Co-Promoter, John Campbell said, "The excitement always starts to build as we reach this point of the year when we get out to the stadium and start preparations for the new season.

"In the past few years we have had a terrific squad that have made a noticeable difference who we are extremely grateful too. However, we are all ambitious and always note how much more we could get done with a few more helpers.

"It would be great to welcome along as many people as possible so we can make a real improvement."

The work to be carried out will include painting, cleaning, tidying, gardening, and other general maintenance.

Any and all volunteers will be warmly welcomed, whether it be a few hours one week or every week - it will all help. Please come prepared with suitable warm, old clothing and a pair of working/gardening gloves if possible. All other tools and materials will be supplied.

Work will also take place on Wednesdays and Fridays leading up to the start of the season, please contact us here for details if you can help out on these days.

Should any Saturday working party be postponed due to poor weather an update will be posted here on the official website by 8am on the morning of the working party. Please check before you travel.
