A bumper amount was raised towards the renewal of the air fence at Armadale Stadium at Sunday's Monarchs Fans Trust Auction in a very enjoyable afternoon.
Scott Wilson took up the gavel for the third edition of the auction and whizzed through the items raising many smiles and a mighty amount of over £1,500.
Stellar Monarchs Co-Promoter John Campbell praised the auction, "A very big thank you goes to both everyone who bid on items today and also everyone involved in organising the auction.
"Monarchs Fans Trust including Chairman Len Jones, Mike Hunter, and of course Scott Wilson, and others have put in a magnificent effort to pull everything together.
"Scott really is a master when it comes to auctions and it was a great afternoon to be part of on the way to raising what is a terrific amount for the air fence fund."
Campbell confirmed that the new air fence is now in place at Armadale Stadium, "It has been great to see the new air fence coming together at Armadale in the past week or so. Thank you to those who have been working hard to get it erected.
"A loan from Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund was required to purchase the new fence and our fundraising will continue in order to repay this going forward.
"There is still some limited space for advertising banners on the fence if anyone would like to support us in this manner at £500 per banner. Please contact the club if this is of interest and finally a big thank you again to all involved in today's auction."
