Pairs and CLRC Competitors Confirmed

  Edinburgh Monarchs

The annual Championship Pairs and Championship League Riders Championship are set to launch the 2025 British Speedway season in just under three weeks time. Find out who will represent the Stellar Monarchs!

The two showpiece events have been brought forward to the start of the season to create a huge double-header weekend.


The Pairs match, featuring the best two riders from each team, takes place at Workington on Saturday 5th April from 3:00pm. Justin Sedgmen and Paco Castagna will head to Cumbria to lead the charge.

  • Berwick: Peter Kildemand, Craig Cook
  • Edinburgh: Justin Sedgmen, Paco Castagna
  • Glasgow: Chris Harris, Kyle Howarth
  • Oxford: Sam Masters, Jordan Jenkins
  • Plymouth: Nicolai Klindt, Ben Barker
  • Poole: Lewis Kerr, Zach Cook
  • Redcar: Charles Wright, Erik Riss
  • Scunthorpe: Steve Worrall, Simon Lambert
  • Workington: Troy Batchelor, Tate Zischke


24 hours later, the Championship League Riders Championship takes place at Scunthorpe, also from 3:00pm.

The showpiece event, including the best riders from across the Championship's teams, is coming up at Scunthorpe on Sunday 6th April from 3:00pm.

Justin Sedgmen, holding the highest average in the Monarchs side going into the 2025 season, will represent the Club.

Scottish Cup

Before this takes place, the Stellar Monarchs launch the home season at Armadale Stadium on Friday 4th April in the return of the Scottish Cup.
