The Championship 'Big Weekend' starts at Workington on Saturday afternoon as the SGB Championship Pairs 2025 winners will be decided.

Unfortunately, one man who won't be present is Monarchs captain Paco Castagna who is feeling battered and bruised after his crash at Armadale on Friday night.

Stepping into the fold to partner Justin Sedgmen will be Kye Thomson who comes in on the back of a double digit haul in his season debut at Armadale on Friday night.

If the Monarchs Aussie duo are to have any impact they will need to go some as there are some powerhouse pairings throughout the field.

Last years winners Redcar with Charles Wright and Erik Riss, Glasgow with Chris Harris and Kyle Howarth and the hosts spearhead of Troy Batchelor and Tate Zischke among those quoted most often as likely winners.

With a 4320 format though no team can be ruled out as if last places can be avoided you can put yourself in the mix.

Berwick (Drew Kemp & Danyon Hume), Oxford (Sam Masters & Jordan Jenkins), Plymouth (Nicolai Klindt & Ben Barker), Poole (Lewis Kerr & Zach Cook) and Scunthorpe (Steve Worrall & Simon Lambert) will all travel in confidence they can be among the finalists.

Tapes-up is at 3pm with the meeting streamed on BSN for those not heading for Cumbria.
