Fixture Update: Stellar Monarchs vs Berwick Bandits only on Friday 1st August

Stellar Monarchs will take on Berwick Bandits in what is now a single match at Armadale Stadium on Friday 1st August at the regular start time of 7:30pm.

A double-header had previously been planned but this will no longer be the case with the Steelers unable to take on Stellar Monarchs Academy on that date.

Stellar Monarchs Co-Promoter John Campbell explained, "The original intention was to stage a double header on 1st August but due some fixture reshuffling this will no longer be the case.

"We received a request from Scunthorpe to reschedule the NDL match against the Steelers as they have had to use the date for a home match for their Scorpions against Workington. This made it impossible for them to field a team at Armadale on the same day.

"There is still a possibility that we will stage a double header with Monarchs and Academy fixtures on another date later in August and we are working on options currently. We will bring forward news as soon as possible should this be the case.

"The match against Berwick will be a big one as they can be considered as rivals for a place in the play offs. We had a wonderful atmosphere in the stadium for our recent Plymouth match which helped push the team onto a great result and we'll need the same again for the rest of our home matches this season."
