Edinburgh Monarchs
At the end of July the Stellar Monarchs had a great night at Scunthorpe taking a ten-point win, and this Friday the Scorpions come to Armadale hoping to turn the tables. They are a side built for solidity like the Monarchs and have not given up their own chase for the Playoffs.
Monarchs are looking for the double of course – home and away wins and so the aggregate bonus as well – but they will have to do so without Victor Palovaara who has suffered illness this week, missed his Swedish match and will not be fit for Friday. Rider replacement will apply for the number one.
Monarchs' league winner from 2014, Steve Worrall, is the top man for the Scorpions, who it should be noted have won in three of their last four visits to Armadale!
Team manager Alex Harkess wants his riders to avoid complacency. "We know we should win this one, they are having hard times and we should be looking to take advantage, but there's a lesson there in all sports that you should take absolutely nothing for granted. They've got riders who can come and win races, and we are still being a bit inconsistent at home, so it's up to us to do what we are there to do - to ensure that we get three league points."
Friday's match will be Live Streamed on the British Speedway Network service.
