The Stellar Monarchs have proved some of their critics wrong this season by making the end of season Playoffs and this Friday they will be doing everything they can to gain a big advantage to take to Glasgow a fortnight later, as the teams battle for qualification for the Final of the Premier Playoffs.

Glasgow topped the Championship table this season by one point ahead of Poole, with Redcar Bears third and Monarchs fourth. So Monarchs are trying to upset the form book with a strong performance and have a full strength team, while Glasgow have three riders missing but have brought in strong guests – Nicolai Klindt (scored 17 on his last visit), Simon Lambert and Dayle Wood replacing Dan Thompson, Nagel and Perry..

Monarchs' most recent signing Michael Palm Toft takes a positive but realistic view of the upcoming ties. "Glasgow will be very tough, we know how good they are as we have raced them a few times now although most of them especially the Armadale matches was before I was in the team and they ride Armadale well but so do we.

"We felt like we should have done better against them in the league so we need to have that attitude from the start, in the playoffs you can't afford mistakes but we all know what we can do. All I am saying is, don't write us off!"

Friday's match will be Live Streamed on the British Speedway Network.
