PREVIEW Sunday 12th October 2025, 11:19am
Edinburgh Monarchs Academy
Stellar Monarchs Academy finish their campaign at Belle Vue on Sunday afternoon knowing that a win will leave them with a chance of a second place finish in the league standings.
That classification will also depend on Leicester's final match but that is of no concern for Scott Wilson and his side as they look for the points today.
Having won by ten at Armadale in the corresponding match the Academy have three points up for grabs.
Both sides show a change from their usual septets with Ben Morley stepping in for Freddy Hodder for the hosts while Vinnie Foord so unlucky not to be crowned under 19 champion at Workington on Saturday coming in for Sam Mcgurk for the Academy.
Elsewhere there is a welcome return for Mark Parker who has decided to give it another go.
Luke Craig also continues his return to the sport and the top end strength of Doyle Wood, Jordy Loftus and Connor Coles will look to score the points required to see the points come north.
It is hard to gauge how the hosts will perform giving they still have 40% of their fixtures to run, the Colts have fallen to defeat in two of their three home fixtures so far so will be looking to right that with a match against the Steelers forming part of a double header prior to the Academy match.
William Cairns heads up a Colts team whose season fell into tumult just days prior to tapes-up when a pair of changes were required.
The actions starts at midday for the first match-up which is Colts vs Steelers this being due to be followed by the Academy at roughly 13:45.
