Special guest confirmed for 2026 Burns Supper

Monarchs will welcome star BSN presenter and former speedway rider Greg Blair as the special guest at the 2026 Burns Supper.

Since hanging up his steel shoe, Greg Blair has become a popular presenter and commentator on British Speedway Network.

As a rider Greg competed predominantly in development league racing, gaining in-depth knowledge and insight into the sport which when combined with his entertaining and engaging presentation style has made him very popular amongst BSN viewers.

The Jedburgh-born former rider will be fresh back in the country as he returns from hosting BSN's coverage of the Australian Championship in early January, no doubt with a few stories to tell from his time away.

Greg will parade the haggis before Scott Wilson performs his famous address. Then following the meal Scott and Greg will sit down to talk about Greg's speedway journey and his BSN experiences.

What is the Monarchs Burns Supper?

Combining the best of a traditional Burns Supper with a large dose of speedway fun, this Burns-lite evening is always a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all.

Sit down amongst your speedway friends for a three course Burns Supper including a haggis main course and a nip of whisky, with accompanying dashes of speedway inspired readings including from Club Poet Mose.

Former Monarchs presenter Scott Wilson will deliver his legendary address to the haggis, before taking to the mic after the meal to welcome special guest Greg Blair for a fun-packed in-depth interview.

After the interview, the DJ will takeover to round off a brilliant night.

When and where is it - and how to get tickets

The 2026 event will take place at Canalside (Boroughmuir Rugby Club clubhouse), Meggetland Wynd, Edinburgh, EH14 1XN and is open to everyone to attend.

Arrival is 6:30pm for dinner at 7pm, with carriages at midnight.
