Tremendous 1st and 2nd bend from Joe Thomspon around the other 3 riders. Barker was 2nd but Josh went around him on 3rd and 4th bend. Team rode for a lap and then Josh decided better to get out in front and allow Joe to run his own race

Scrappy gate, looked like Tigers away but then both seemed to stop and Monarchs sailed off into the distance. Smith didn't make the 1st corner and disappeared into pits.

Dan gated but great ride from Harris to pass him on inside on back straight of 2nd lap. Dan tried to cut back but to no avail. Max fell on 1st corner, remounted but retired at end of 1st lap

Connor gated with the Tigers but Rowe made it too far from him to go around outside. Had a nibble at Ivacic on entry to bend 3 but not close enough and that was it

Great race. Pearson gated, Paco got great drive off 4th bend to take lead but Pearson returned the favour in bends 1 and 2. Paco repeated the job on the 4th bend of 2nd lap and pushed on after that. Looked like Pearson had bike trouble but finished the race

Harris gates, Josh gets lead on 4th bend of lap 1 but Harris cuts back and retakes the lead. Josh tried all he could but couldn't catch Harris. Rowe retired on 2nd lap

It's derby day once again this Friday as the old rivals from East and West do battle at Armadale both looking for a result to put a different glean on seasons where more would have been hoped for.

Not making the playoffs for a crack at defending their 2023 league title is the fate that befalls the visiting Tigers with a defeat whereas for the home Stellar Monarchs it is just about pride and making sure a bottom place finish is avoided.

With victory required on both sides of the pits each side comes in with replacements in place with Dan and Joe Thompson stepping into the Blue and Gold for Justin Sedgmen and Kye Thomson.

Ben Barker and Max Perry deputising for Leon Flint and Jason Garrad for the Tigers.

Elsewhere the teams are as expected with some enthralling looking match-ups throughout, any race featuring Josh Pickering and Chris Harris has the chance to be absolutely box office while fellow Tigers heat leader Anders Rowe takes some stopping if he hits the front, the young Englishman was unbeaten when the first running of this fixture had to be called off.

Matic Ivacic will be a key man for the Tigers as he now drops to reserve so it will be up to Connor Coles and Max James to nullify the threat.

With a BSN Series semi final second leg still to come this may or may not be the last time the home fans get the chance to see this year's Monarchs so a big crowd cheering on the boys will be a boost to all.

Tapes-up at 19.30 as the Scottish squads take to the shale one last time in 2024.
